Jello shot....alcohol proof to water ratios?!

Question:

Jello shot....alcohol proof to water ratios?

Last July I was making a pile of jello shots.. I found a website that had this handy little guide that told you how much water to add going on the proof of the alcohol you were using. Does anyone have any idea where I found this?

Answers:
In my bar we mix them 1box, 1cup H2O, 1cup liquor. Boil water add jello, take off burner add liquor. As long as you don't boil the liquor you'll be just fine. It evaporates the alcohol and you don't want that. Get creative, strawberry with rum and banana liquor, lime with coconut rum, Ive maid cherry with vodka and creme de cocoa tasted like chocolate covered cherry's. Have fun.

What's the big concern? Add the jell-o to the boiling water mixture and substitute chilled vodka for the "cold" water. Most Vodka is 80 proof unless you buy something special. If you buy vodka with more "alcohol" content, it you still use the appropriate amount of liquid. You would get 90 proof alcohol which would make your shot mixture about 2.5 more alcohol percent vs the 80 proof.
