Cigar Question - regarding dryness.?!

Question:

Cigar Question - regarding dryness.?

A friend has given up cigars and gave me 3 Cuban Montecristos. They have dried out a bit. Is there a way to get these back in shape to smoke? I have a humidor but it doesn't seem to rehydrate enough to keep them from falling apart
Thanks

I've heard that you can put the cigar in a zip-lock baggie, along with a wet paper towel, and nuke it in the microwave. Only nuke it for a matter of seconds! Also, the paper towel doesn't have to touch the cigar (in fact, I don't think it should at all...?). Just wet the paper towel, ring it out so it's not dripping water, and set it next to the cigar in the bag. You may want to look into it more to get better direction!

I would take them to a cigar shop and see if they can help. Of course, make sure to take off the bands first... :-)

i dont think you can save em now if there that dry and falling apart.

you actually have a few options: you can cut a piece of potato and place it in a zip lock baggie or an apple or an orange or a wet paper towel and leave it in there in a refrigerator until you are ready to smoke it. But do not let it go too long or you will rune the cigar. Smoke them if you got them:

Throw them in a baggie with some sliced apples. You may have some success .. . Sad if you can't rejuvenate them.

<>Keep them in the humidor. Slowly bring the humidity up inside, if you rehydrate them too fast the wrapper will burst. Good luck, and enjoy.
