Lager's do not count. They are terrible, especially ALL American lagers.

Thank you to the few who understood the question and supplied an answer that was not a lager or corn "beer" such as Bud. I am curious to hear from people who actually drink good beer that you cannot just buy in your everyday grocery store.

Funny that most people are giving you lager answers.
Clearly you're an ale guy. That's cool. Lots of great ales, plus stouts and porters, too.
The Belgians have fine, strong ales: Duvel, Chimay, Satan, Lucifer, Gulden Draak.
America has good IPAs from Dogfish Head, Bells, Boulevard, Sierra Nevada and Flying Dog.
There's also great stouts like Guinness and Beamish from Ireland. I really like the Sierra Nevada Porter -- a superb beer.
