who agrees with me that science is wrong on this one?

Answers:

CH3CH2OH is CH3CH2OH. Period. Ethanol, no matter what form it takes -- beer, wine, bourbon, scotch, vodka, gin, etc. -- will get you to the same place if you consume enough of it. Drunk.

Which form a ethanol you choose may have an effect on just how hungover you are the next morning, the more congeners present, the worse the aftermath. Although, the biggest problem with the morning after is the dehydration caused by the ethanol in the first place.

Now, if you want to try, say, CH3OH, then you will still get just as drunk, the nice thing is, you probably won't get the same hangover cause you'll be dead. Methanol usually has that effect.

Bottoms up.
