Brazilian Rum?!

Question:

Brazilian Rum?

I saw an ad in GQ about some brand of rum made in Brazil from natural sugar cane. Does anybody know what the name is? The ad had a waterfall I think but I can't find it.

Answers:

The name of the type of rum is cachaca. I'm not sure what brand has the waterfall in the ad but its almost exclusively used to make caipirinhas here in the States. A Brazilian concoction of cachaca, fresh limes and sugar. IN Brazil they enjoy the better ones straight.
There are hundreds of brands of it. It nothing like traditional Caribbean rums. They aren't rich and sweet like that.
