why does it seems that we tend to go pee more than normal when we drink beer?

Answers:
Because your adding a ton of fluid to your body. Drink that much water and the same thing will happen. It has nothing to do with the fact that it is beer.

It flushes out your system. It's a really great for a kidney infection.

they are drinking more fuilds then normal

Well you seem to drink more at one time so then that tends to make you urinate more. It happens to everyone. Once you pop, you can't stop!!

Have you ever taken a water bong? Or shotgunned a can of water? or had five bottles of water in an hour? If you had, you'd been peeing the same.

Aside from just drinking more fluids than normal, alcohol dehydrates your body. So, you're really peeing out beer AND other fluids that your body wouldn't normally be ready to give up.

Which is also why you get hangovers. Lack of both hydration and nutrients.

Alcohol is a diuretic. The hangover you experience is partly from being dehydrated. And also, I tend to drink more volume wise in a shorter period of time. I do not drink 2 sodas in an hour but I will drink 2 beers in an hour.

Alcohol dehydrates you so you are releasing more then you are absorbing. That's why you get so thirsty when you sober up.

Because beer, I don't know if you know this or not, is actually a poison. When drinking at a casual pace, your body wont throw it up but it has to leave your body somehow, so out it goes as pee. Haven't you ever wondered what a hangover is? It's when your body is dehydrated and you have a higher concentration of salts and stuff in your blood. Why is it dehydrated? Because you peed like a race horse and had nothing left. I'm sure there's other websites out there that describe the whole thing in more detail if you really want to know, but this answer was a straigh to the point type of responce. By the way, Scotland has this drink called Irn-Bru. It's a soda like beverage with a hard to describe taste, but it is excellend for a hangover cure.

it has vitamin P in it.

cuz you're drinking more liquids than normal. if you drank the same amount of water or juice, it would have the same effect.

Alcohol affects one of the things that the kidneys do and that is selective reabsorbtion. It means that the kidney will pick out the waste only and then put back into your body what it may still be able to use. However when you drink alcohol all that goes out the window. All waste is expelled, even the waste that still had nutrients in it that your body would have still enjoyed.

Beer does not have to stop to change color.

usually when we drink beer, we drink fast & lots of it. so if you drank anything else that fast & that much, you would prolly pee just as much.

Because alcohol is a diretic which means it speeds up the filtering process in your kidneys and thus makes the beer/alcohol go through you quicker.

Ethanol depresses your production of anti-diuretic hormone. Your hypothalamus gets tipsy very fast. In medical school, we had a physiology lab in which my group of five students emptied our bladders. The three "controls" drank 24 ounces of water, and we two brave volunteers, purely in the interest of medical science, forced down a couple of Budweisers (I prefer Chimay these days, but we were young and stupid). After two hours, the control group had produced a couple of ounces of urine on average, where we in the treatment group averaged eighteen. When expanded to other groups, the results were found to be reproducible, and you may imagine how hard it was to find other volunteers. It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

WWD is 100% correct. In other words, since alcohol is a depresant, one of the first parts of your body to become numbed (depressed) by the alcohol is a type of gland that regulates the intake of fluids into your bladder. Usually this regulator keeps your bladder from intaking too many fluids, but once it becomes numb from the alcohol it stops working and your bladder is able to constantly intake body fluids. Once these fluids fill your blader its time for number 1, and 2 and 3 and 4 and 5.
