I know nothing about red wine,tell me what you know??

I love most white wines, but I just want to know any general info about reds that you may know. I am new to the whole wine thing, so any knowledge will help. Thanks!!

Red wines are typicallly served with meat. It is also served at room temp. The most common are Merlot, Cabernet, Shiraz, If you are new to red wine, try going to a local winery or liquer store and they can give you some options of what you might be looking for. Just explain what you like, and they can point you in the right direction. Start out slowly and gradually increase your taste buds. I have included a website you can check out that has a list of all wines, the definitions, what to serve with them, sweetness level, how to serve them, etc.. Have fun with it!!!
