What are some fun things to do in Ireland?!

Question:

What are some fun things to do in Ireland?

Does anybody have any good ideas on how I should spend my free time in Ireland? Mainly in dublin, waterford, and Galaway.

i dont know why people are giving me the thumbs down for my answer..afterall the question is under beer/wines/spirits..unless they dont know what "the black stuff is"

Go to the pubs and get to know local people. I knew a guy who got acquainted with two thieves and they went out for a ride and he heard some awesome stories! You never know what you can find!

Drink Guinness

The Ring of Kerry. Hands down one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Best take a bus tour as the roads are too twisty for visiting drivers - you'll be craning your neck to see the sights instead of keeping your eyes on the road.

Make sure you get out and meet the folks. Go to the local pubs and be inclined to chat with people. Don't push yourself on them, but the Irish tend to like Americans and will most likely be curious and friendly towards you if you're respectful, interested, and not loud and boorish. And try the local brews and food!

Try to hear some local music - often at pubs. It'd be hard not to have a good time, really.

Galway is a great place and more "Irish" than Dublin I've always felt - they're both very different places. If you're going down to Waterford, you should travel west to Killarney to see the real Ireland - you can go on a horse and cart there! It's an absolutely gorgeous place and the scenery is unbelievable. Enjoy!

Pub life, in a village anywhere, esp after closing time. Medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle, very touristy but good fun. Impromptu dancing-on-the-spot in city pubs (Galway, Dublin eg). A day trip to tour Belfast residential areas and photograph the historic graffiti. Get in touch with Irish people, every opportunity.

If you're going to Dublin the first place you have to visit is Temple Bar where there are the best bars, restaurants and shops of the city. A "must" to visit is The Guinness factory where you could see all the proccess of making this faboulous beer and at the end of the walk you could taste a free pint of Guinness on the top of the factory where u'll have the best panorama of the old city. Another "must" is a visit to kilkenny and its beer factory. Then you have to go to Galaway and see the wonderful Moher's dove. Ireland is great: nature, sea, folk music, wonderful pubs where you can taste great beers, people is kind and will welcome you everywhere u'll go I advice u to rent a car, it's cheap and u wouldn't loose anything of ur journey Have a great time there bud!

dublin, beer, women or men whatever your preference and sit back and enjoy:-)

Hi, I would recommend visiting the Guinness factory, it takes you all through the history and the making of the black stuff, there is about 5 or 6 levels, the top floor being a glass fronted bar where you can gaze over Dublin while supping a pint, when I went there i was advised to stand near the yanks as they don't care for the stuff much they would have a sip and leave the rest, just wait till they move a bit then swoop, needless to say we were in there most of the day and left tot tally wrecked, it is reasonable entrance, about 5 or 6 quid, and everybody gets a token on entry that is exchanged for a pint when you reach the top, value for money.
I would also recommend you to go to a bar wher traditional Irish music is played, this should be easy to find, and also, if you are near Dublin you just have to do the temple bar, basically it is a strret just full of pubs bars and taverns you go in one door out another straight to the next one, wicked, be careful not to stray in a bad area, stay in a group if possible, take care, I hope you have a great time.
