What exactly is Tanqueray Rangpur (not mixed drink, but bottled gin)?!

Question:

What exactly is Tanqueray Rangpur (not mixed drink, but bottled gin)?

What is the difference between Tanqueray Gin and Tanqueray Rangpur Gin? I know there's a mixed drink called Tanqueray Rangpur (which calls for Rangpur lime, Indian Tonic, and Tanqueray Gin), but I'm talking about the 750ml bottle of Tanqueray Rangpur Gin.

What's it taste like? Is it made differently? Can it be used in a Martini with olives? That kind of stuff.

My personal favorite is Quintessential Gin. It's the Belvedere of gins, second would be Bombay Sapphire. Seriously, try it.

I distribute Tanqueray Rangpur. It is Tanqueray distilled with rangpur limes along with the usual juniper and numerous other botanicals. It is very nice, smooth, lower in alcohol (82.6 proof compared to 94.6 for Tanqueray London Dry) and you can subtlely taste the difference the rangpur limes make, as they are distilled with the botanicals and gin and not an added flavor that would tend to overpower. Rangpur limes are different than regular limes, they are orange in color and juicier and lighter.
It is really quite nice, and a good alternative to drier gins. I am also a big fan of the Tanqueray Ten.
I agree with you, Quintessential Gin is very nice! It is from Whiterock Distilleries, whom I also am lucky enough to distribute, if you have not tried Three Olives line of vodka and flavored vodkas they also represent, they are the best flavors out there, hands down.

I think the Rangpur is gin with the lime added. Personally I liked Befeaters for martinis until I discovered Bombay Blue Saphire. Super smooth.

its tanqueray gin distilled with "rare rangpur limes from India' Actually it is quite good, Very smooth and gives you a nice warming feeling rather than the usual burn that is sometimes associated with gin.
