The shortest brewing time I have dealt with have been about a month. Mind you the longer it brews the better it taste. It also depends on the type of micro system that you have at home. Try this company they are really helpful and can give you better advice. I consider myself a novice still after 3yrs.
Good beer takes time. Look up ales vs. pilsners. Different brewing and different tastes. Worth the wait!
