What is the average price for a good wine?!

Question:

What is the average price for a good wine?

I am going to be getting wine for a special occasion coming up, what is the average price and do you have a suggestion of a good red wine?

Answers:

You should probably go to a wine shop with an idea of what you'd prefer to spend & have a discussion with someone who works there. They can guide you. You could spend hundreds of $$ on a single bottle.

That said, a bottle in the $20-40 range will probably fit your needs. From there, determine what you like in a wine (fruity, zesty, subtle, dry, etc.), or maybe what sort of food will be paired with it.

Everyone's tastes & preferences are different. Personally, I like a robust, supple Australian shiraz, or an old vine California zinfandel. Others may prefer the complexity of a French bordeaux, or the straightforward berry taste of many merlots.

Enjoy!!
