Can you recomend a good Champagne or Cava?!

Question:

Can you recomend a good Champagne or Cava?

I need to treat someone special...anybody know of any good ones, from uk supermarkets or similar?

Answers:

Personally I would go for Moet and Chandon, but it really depends what your actual budget is, however expensive isn't always the best.
If your treating the person to a meal where you are going to serve champagne, why not buy 2 small bottles of Moet (they is a bottle in tesco that only serves about a glass) and then buy a cheaper brand for a big bottle.

"A BARGAIN own-label bubbly from Tesco's is better than much more expensive champagne quaffed by Posh and Becks, say experts.

Three hundred judges who took part in a blind taste test voted the supermarket's £14.79 fizz Premier Cru top, beating £30 toffs' tipple Taittinger, £25.99 Charles Heidsieck and Mumm at £21.98 a bottle.

It also wiped the floor with celebrities' favourite Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle Cuvee, which costs £54.99."
