I lover Crown but I bought $25 dollar bottle last Friday and it is gone as of last night. It tastes awesome. Just wondering on the taste and smoothness?

I would rather put the money into the Crown Royal even though Canadian Mist is half the price.

No way!! Crown Royal is in a class all its own.
Canadian Mist is a lighter whiskey as is most Canadian whiskey. It is usually mixed with seven up not coke.
If you want something close to Crown, try Jack Daniels but Crown is smoother.
