How much 80 Proof Vodka can a 140lb male drink before he is legally drunk? How much can he drink before it just becomes dangerous?
When I say dangerous I dont mean DUIs and things, I mean like physically dangerous to himself from the amount hes consumed. (Alchohol poisening, Uncouncious, ect..)

1-2 shots would make a 140 lb male .08 BAC - legally drunk in some places. Dangerous... each person is different. Don't drink a bottle to yourself. It sucks!
My way of judging is when I can't get up to get another drink I'm done for now.

I would estimate anywhere from 1-3 shots would cause that man a dui, because its just the measure of the percentage of alcohol in your bloodstream. This doesn't necessarily mean the individual is severely inhibited, but it is the legal measurement of "drunk". As far as being personally intoxicated, that really depends on the person - their ethnicity, height to weight ratio, whether they are sedentary or work out a lot, how much they ate that day, and *how much and how often they drink. All of these are factors which alter a persons response to metabolizing alcohol. So really there is no way to say how much a 140lb man can drink before he becomes a danger to himself because its just too subjective. One key thing to remember about alcohol poisoning though... if you're puking, you're almost there. It might seem cool and easy to slam a bunch of shots or beer, but never forget that in 10-20 minutes they are going to absorb and knock you off your feet all at once, and once you pass out, your no longer able to control whether or not you wake up again. Have fun, be careful!
