Read labels

Blue curaco is basically blue-tinted triple sec, and triple sec is an orange flavored liquer. A "high-end" triple sec is Cointreau: it's from France and made with "special" oranges, (from Curaco, actually), and it's very sweet and smooth. It kind of dominates the market on curacos, although you can find many others out there that are labeled "triple sec" and will be much cheaper.

If you're looking for other orange flavored liquers, Grand Marnier is another great (and unfortunately pricy) one. It's actually cognac based and has orange flavors added to it: it's a great addition to many drinks (like margaritas), and it's also great when served warmed and by itself. (The traditional way to serve it is in a glass called a snifter).

Keeping with the "orange flavor" theme, there are lots of orange infused vodkas and rums out there; however, they are obviously much higher in alcohol content, and that doesn't seem to be what you are looking for. Personally, I think that high quality ingredients are what make a drink good, so although curacos like Cointreau are expensive, they might be worth the investment. A little goes a long way with these spirits, and you can't put a price tag on a great cocktail!
