How do I get rid of alcohol breath the morning after? Is mouthwash all there is?!

Question:

How do I get rid of alcohol breath the morning after? Is mouthwash all there is?

Answers:
Mouthwas won't work. Your breath (if you are human) comes from the lungs and not the mouth. The alcohol vapour is released from the capillaries around the alveoli in your lungs. How long it takes for this to clear up depends on how fast your body metabolises alcohol and the amount of alcohol consumed. You may increase both the metabolism and lung excretion if you increase blood circulation by exercise for example. Or wear a gas mask to filter the expired air!

Mouth wash only covers it up. The alcohol is in your bloodstream and will stay "on your breath" until it gets metabolized out, which, depending on how long it was since your last drink, could take all day.

There is no real way to get rid of alcohol breath, that I know of. I just finished watching an old Mythbusters episode (s01e06) in which they tried various methods to fool a breath analyser, and not one produced any useful results.

brushing & mouthwash are best, problem is it still comes thru ur skin pores & can last for several days, eeewwww!

AAHHH - heres a definate solution - dont drink!!!

Not a good idea to do some mouthwash, because they contain alcohol.

I second nene...... do it in moderation.... buddy!

<>Call off and stay home. You only drink because you have money to. If you loose you job then you won't have any money to buy booze. No more problem.
