Beer a aquired taste?!

Question:

Beer a aquired taste?

Ok, I am a man, and I love liquor...like rum, vodka, and whisky. I also love the "fruity" drinks like pina coloda, daquires, and fruity wine coolers. but I've never gotten in to beer. But I'm always told that it is an aquired taste. Well, a lot of times I'm out with the guys at some place that serves beer, but not liquor...so i'm stuck drinking water, and being made fun of. So, I'm sitting here right now, trying to drink this Corona light, and it's hard to get down. So, beer drinkers out there...HOW, and how LONG did it take you to aquire the taste for beer?

Answers:

the first time i had a beer i tried to sip it like a mixed drink and gagged.
then i was told to take a few big swigs. that helped. it still wasn't as apealing as a mixed drink but i managed to pound enough to get me toasted.
corona in my opinon is camel pee in a bottle.
try sam adams. they are so much better and the seasonal brews kick butt.
the summer ale and white ale out now aren't harsh at all. i really like them. the cherry wheat is one you might like too.
the pale ale is awesome too.
don't get me wrong i'm a huge mixed drink girl but sam adams is the only beer i drink
