What is a really good wine in a box?!

Question:

What is a really good wine in a box?

I am looking for something that doesnt have too much flavor other than a grape flavoring.

Answers:
If you just want grape flavouring then I suggest a glass of grape juice. It has all the grapey goodness you might want.

If you want wine, then you want something other than just grape flavouring. I would think you want a fruity wine given your earlier statement.

Well, I would check out the Aussie wines out there. I've had several and the best thing I can say about them is they are convenient & cheap. The wine in them is average and nothing of any great note. That's not to say it's bad or anything, it's just average.

Having said that the only ones I can truly recommend (as they're the only ones I've ever tried or bought) are either Hardy's or Banrock Station.

Avoid Franzia at any cost. I think Franzia is what is left over after they make the wine and they just throw it in a box and sell it to College kids that don't have a lot of money.

Coolabah is a popular wine.
Yalumba and Hardy's are a couple more but there are a lot on the market

Aussies have actually been drinking decent wine out of a box for years ― more than 50 percent of all wine sold Down Under is square. (Ironically, they call it “cask wine,” even though the boxes look like anything but casks.) The States, on the other hand, have traditionally snubbed anything but the cork.

black box is probably the best brand.
real sangria is what you'll probably like the most. it's like 15 -18 a box in most states. it's great.

Almaden bag in a box Chablis for white or Burgundy for red. Their pretty good and won't kill your wallet.

Franzia has a very mild blush. Its called Sunset Blush.

Franzia works for me

the answer about australian boxed wines (sorry didn't catch your username) is correct- plenty of boxed wines are good, fine, and you don't need to drink franzia or something that tastes like a wine cooler just because it's in a box.

target has started marketing boxes of wine that are pretty good and reasonably priced- like 20.00 for a cube of wine equivalent to maybe 4 bottles? i've had it and it's pretty good- equal to a cheap bottle of wine from the store.

last time i was in italy, we actually bought lovely juice boxes of wine for very little money- and i recently saw a similar product at target and a few other grocery stores.great idea for picnics, concerts, or if you just want ONE glass of wine without opening a whole bottle.

There is no such thing as a good wine in a box. If you want grape flavor buy grape juice.
