Anyone know these wines?!

Question:

Anyone know these wines?

I'm supposed to go to a wine tasting tonight that features:
Chateau Belingard Bergerac Blanc
Chateau Ste. Michelle Gewurztraminer
Terrazas de los Andes Malbec Alto Mendoza
DiMajo Norante Sangiovese

I've read the standard merchant reviews, but have any of you actually tried any of these? Is it worth going to the wine tasting, or should I stay home with a bottle of something I know I like?

Selecting a good wine is similar to selecting a good friend - one that might be good enough for some, isn't for others. But how do you know unless you meet them? I would advise you to go and sample the wines - then you can form your own opinion. Perhaps, you will meet your new best friend, or learn of a wine that may be best to stay away from. I have had the Gewurztraminer - and like a lot of wines can be made better or worse with food pairings. I have enjoyed it with the foods that it has been paired with - but have not had it on its own. Have fun tonight!

it's always worth it to go wine tasting. the experience isn't just about the vino. However, stay away from the gewurztraminer, YUK!

Chateau Ste. Michelle Gewurztramine is good

Stay home with a bottle of Thunderbird or Maddog 20/20. Stick to what you know.

The simplest way to find out, is by trying each one yourself and let no one to influence your decision.
I believe firmly that what one person finds excellent the other will not. So decide yourself by the colour, the smell, the taste and don't fall over by all the fancy names that promotionists choose for their wines.
Remember , small sips of each one and when you are done follow your heart (like in the ad).

I concur, stay home. if the best they could do for gewurtzraminer is Chateau St Michelle...
