Wine tasting Question.?!

Question:

Wine tasting Question.?

When you purchase a bottle of wine at a restaurant, then the waiter asks you to try it, what happens if you absolutely cannot bear the taste.
Do you have to pay for it? Does it get used behind the bar, in the kitchen. What happens to it?
I've never actually refused a bottle, but I've always wondered.

Answers:

we ask you to try the wine you ordered, to make sure it is not spoiled. if you just don't like the taste, and the wine is fine ,you absolutely have to pay for it. usually guests order wines they are familiar with, you can't just order something blindly & hope you will like it. describe which specific wines you enjoyed before, and we will gladly assist you in the selection. it is not fair, however, to have us open a bottle of expensive wine, just to satisfy your curiosity. the restaurant has the right to insist on payment, and you can take the bottle home with you. we do our best to satisfy our guests, and make exceptions on occasion, as long as you don't make a habit out of it.at our restaurant, the refused & opened bottle is given to the manager, who has to fill out a detailed void slip, and then decides, what to do with it.
