Beer is to be brewed just from barley (or wheat). So what % of rice/corn to do miller/bud add to offset costs?


Answers:

Miller and Bud no longer add the "chemicals" to the beers, they claim.

Miller uses corn at about 30% of their total grain.
Bud uses rice I believe, at about the same ratio.

Light beers may use corn syrup now, I can't remember off hand. The exact % of the adjunct is tweaked very often, probably based on costs of ingredients at the time.
