Margarita question?!

Question:

Margarita question?

What other liquers can you put in your margarita besides triple sec, curacao, and grand mariner? I'm not a big fan of orange-flavored things.

Or could you make a good margarita with just tequila, sugar, and lime juice?

Answers:

Try adding agave nectar instead of the orange stuff. This is what I usually do:

6 parts blanco or reposado tequila
3 parts fresh squeezed lime juice (not the canned stuff)
1-1.5 parts agave nectar
Shake and serve over ice

If you can't find agave nectar, you can make the "poor man's margarita" aka the Paloma, which is just tequila with Squirt soda and a little bit of salt.
