How and where can I go to fill up an empty keg?!

Question:

How and where can I go to fill up an empty keg?

Some buddy of mine lent me a keg, with the tap and everything. Where can I go to fill it up? and how much would it cost? and how long would it take, and if I would have to plan ahead for the fillup.

Answers:

I don't believe you can actually fill up the empty keg that you have. However, you should be able to exchange it in loo of a keg deposit, and since you already have a tap, you shouldn't need to rent one either. You will want to make sure that the tap you have is compatible with the keg. Most domestic kegs require the same tap, but many imports are going to be different.
Call ahead to reserve a keg to make sure it's available. Most large liquor stores will have kegs available with a day or two notice.
