Hey does anyone know where i can get absinthe in new orleans?

Absinthe is not illegal in the US, contrary to popular opinion (see above). The problem is that almost nobody knows this (again, refer to all the previous answers).
However, most bars in New Orleans still don't know this, either.
You can try the "Old Absinthe House." where they regularly serve Czech brands (NOT recommended...they're mostly very bad) and have been known to carry Lucid. Generally, for the good stuff, you have to ask for what's behind the bar...it won't be on display. It won't be cheap, either...expect around $15+ per drink.
