What is the best way to clean out a rusty flask to make it safe for drinking again?
Answers:
Rusty flasks are generally too far gone to save, but if you insist: Fill the flask 1/2 full of water, add uncooked rice and shake vigorously empty and repeat until water is clear. Fill will just water and shake, pour out into clear glass and be sure all the rust has been removed. Use at your own risk, always remembering there WAS rust in it and there could still be some remaining that hasn't come off. Good luck. Personally I'd buy a new one, and if this one is special I'd give it a special place of honor in my home on display otherwise I'd pitch it.
