Why do kids die when they drink 21 shots?!

Why do kids die when they drink 21 shots?

Theres many stories about kids dying from alcohol poisoning when they have 21 shots on their 21st b day. I don't understand how this happens cause they do it over the night. I'm not a great drinker so this suprises me. I drank a 5th of rum before (by myself) in like 30 minutes... and had a little more alcohol later on. (i will say it wasnt that high of a proof though but still about 25 shots) And last time on vacation though half were mixed drinks in around an hour i was around 20 shots- including 3 triple shots of vodka, 2 shot of tequila, and some slammers in less than 5 minutes apart from each other. Also they say a beer equals a shot, i know several friends who drink around 20 cans of beer and most of the time hold it down easy. Maybe i just go to a party school or something but even my light weight friend put down a half a fth of rum and a half of a 5th of tequila one night and threw up- but was fine. I guess i ask why do those kids die doing that when the people i know drink more

Ok so many of you have gone overboard- first off i wasn't trying to brag- those ended up being bad nights for me- Second some of you completley overstated what i had drank- thirdly - i am not an alcoholic please note these were seperate occassions - about 6 months apart. This isnt an every night thing- and no I'm not gonna die by the time im thirty when i drink less than 8 shots a month. That was a while ago when i could drink that much- Id on't believe any one who drinks less than that is a ***** either. And i understand a person who never drank before will die from it, i guess part of the question is why do people who drink a lot still die when they will do it over a couple hours.

This is plain stupid. I would have no problem sitting around a campfire and drinking 20 beers but I am 250lbs and probably 20 years older. If I drank a fifth in a half hour I would probably wake up in jail and not know why. Just plain stupid. Party school doesn't matter. Maybe you just know when to stop and these people don't. Someone 150lbs or less would likely die if they did this.
