It really depends if you prefer room temp. wine or chilled wine.

I use to drink Cab. Sauv. but i use to add Sprite to it. Because i didn't like the room temp. and it was a tad bitter for me.

Now i'm more into Wht Zin.....and i still add sprite (cuz i like the carbonation) and a squeeze of lime.

...But SUTTERHOME...is cheap and good...and can be found at Walmart/Target/ Publix/ Albertsone...ect

Gallo Thunderbird or go with Nighttrain.

Ballatore. I hate wine but this stuff is around 6-7 dollars and is GOOD. it's similar to champagne. Not sure about the spelling. Can get at Walmart, grocery store.

Taylor makes a very good cheap wine but not even close to what i make. i have a 53 gallon oak barrel in my basement now come on over and I'll give you a gallon.

I like Charles Shaw (two buck Chuck) if you can find it in your area (try a Trader Joe's if you have one nearby). Definitely affordable. Also, I like Kendall Jackson. For types, if you aren't familiar with wines, you should start with a blush or a white..perhaps a Chardonay or a Riesling?

I would consider McManis brand, possibly merlot or syrah/shiraz, but anything they make is good. Coppola Rosso (red blend), Chateau St. Michele or Berenger Gewurztraminer.. all good: slightly sweet whites with a bit of spice. Also, a bit of Graham's Six Grapes Port. Sweet with a nice long finish. Port is fortified, so a smaller glass has the same alcohol as other wine...makes it a good value. Enjoy.

Wine is allot about personal preference, some people will only drink whites, some just reds. I think the best advice I can give you is determine what you prefer. Go to a local wine tasting, sample what they have, determine what you like. Right now I am enjoying a Greg Norman Cabernet Merlot, purchased where I buy most of my wine Costco. I also suggest Tradder Joe's house wines very reasonable price for a wine that most people seem to like.

FRANZIA! cant go wrong with a box-o-wine!
