In Florida a 6 pack of Natural light costs about $4.29
Here in the Triangle area, Natural Light is $5.09 for the same 6 pack.
Bud Light & Coors light is $4.99 for a 6 pack in Northern VA and Tampa, FL.
Here Bud & Coors are $5.29 for the same damn 6 pack.
Why the heck is the tarheel state to pricy on beer?

i will also suggest that carolina taxes beer haevier because they are a tobacco state, (huge cash crop), and dont have the rediculous high taxes on cigs other states have. so, who do they take it out on? us beer drinkers. jeeez, cant smoke cant drink cant cant cant!

just depend on what the state charges for taxes on alcohol. Every state is different.
Well, maybe when Hilbillary becomes president she will socialize beer production and sales and it will all be the same price -- though we will probably have to get on a waiting list to buy it.

Florida has lower sales tax on alcohol to encourage tourist North Carolina though more beautiful then flordia does not

Some states have what they call sin tax. They put heavy taxes on alcohol and cigarettes.. If you do not want to pay, you can simply stop drinking or take your drunk *** back to Florida :)

I feel your pain being from Miami and going to school in NC buying beer has seriously been denting my bank account despite having tabs at the bars around my school which are still unpaid. But the main reason for this is most likely due to taxes, but hey do what I do stick to a few shots of liquor before going out to get a good hard buzz going and then just carry around a flask or have a few drinks at the bar to cut down costs. Oddly, I have found that liquor in certain cases is cheaper around Raleigh, Greensboro, and Elon than that in Miami. Doesn't make sense to me but I guess it's something I'll have to deal with until I finish up school here. Haha good luck! =)
