as said above. some people drink a lot, some people drink a little. hollywoods really good at showing these extremes, and continues to show them (to make money.) even after theyre not so true, or when they stop becoming true.
i went to oktoberfest in munich, germany (beerfest) last year and even outside of the festival (we drove around bavaria a bit) people drink beer almost like water there. (speaking of which... whats with the carbonated water?! its baaad!)
youre bound to find a lot of beer drinking in rural areas where people are makin there own and... out in the country where a 12 pack costs $3.99 (some places in CA are like that, so im curious about the middle of the country).
but liquor isnt uncommon in most places. its good to warm you up when its cold and good to cool you down when its warm (depending on what you drink).
but let it be known that the europeans drink a lot more than we do. they smoke more too.
