Drinking ;)?!

Question:

Drinking ;)?

Hey guys, i'm kinda new to drinking and let me give you a little background on it. when i first tried drinking with my two friends i went way overboard, I had about nine shots of Bacardi for my first time, and i got beyond wasted. i digress. Anyways I got really sick after that and when i tried to drink again after that experience i felt beyond sick, just from smelling the stuff. so my first question, is how do i get back on the "wagon" when it comes to drinking? i have slowly began drinking again, i dilute my vodka with OJ to try to make it bearable, and its getting a little easier. but any tips would be great. now the most recent time i drank, i'm sure i had about five shots, and for me this is kind of medium, because i am a new drinker, and i should have gotten buzzed but instead just got really bloated. Can someone explain this to me? because i know that it was enough because i have gotten buzzed off of less. any tips about drinking and these matters would be great. thanks.

Well from past experience, when someone gets sick for the first time off of something they get a sickening feeling whenever they catch that drinks scent. For example I had gottten sick off of Grey Goose my first time and everytime smelled it I wanted to vomit. The only cure I found for this in my own experience was to switch from vodka to rum, whiskey, scotch, tequila or basically anything other than what you had gotten sick on. It takes time for you to get over that sickening feeliing but definitly don't rush back into it. For the amount of shots and not getting you buzzed that could be due to a variety of factors such as what you had previously eaten and drank, but it could also be due to the fact that your tolerance has increased. This just means you either need to take a while off from drinking so your tolerance goes down or you just need to drink more to get that buzz going haha. One tip I have for you is not to mix vodka with OJ for me it was too acidic and over time that nauseating feeling I had first gotten from vodka also happened with OJ and that seriously messed me up, a good chaser or mixer for shots would be sprite or something similar. A general good mixing drink is rum and coke, gets you a good buzz.

Stay away from the hard alcohol and sip on some beer or wine. Its not how much you drink but how fast you drink it. Always steer away from shots and don't let your friends pressure you into drinking more. Always drink one thing and stick with it for the night, it is always bad to mix your liquors but if you do choose to mix then, liquor before beer in the clear and beer before liquor never sicker. So don't drink a few beers then get brave and start drinking other stuff that'll do you in for sure.

Why they big effort in becoming a drunk? You sound like this is some fad that makes you somebody or somen.
first of all, don't get in the habit of drinking hard liquors if you don' t want to crave that drink the rest of your life.
I was much like you at one time when I was about15. only by the time I reached 17, I was a full fleged alcoholic. I began to crave hard liquor, It took me 3 days to figure out what the craving was I had when I woke up in the morning, it dawned on me the third day after going out all night, every night drinking straight whiskey, or tequilla.
when I realized that the craving I had was alcohol. I quit cold turkey,
I didn't want to become an alcoholic like my dad, or my brother now. who is dieing because of it.
Don't get into the habit of how much you can handle, or how much more it will take next time to get you blasted.
if you feel the need to drink, do it very moderately. once in a while just to kick back and relax or something special. like a wedding or a birthday.
just some advice to a new drinker, its not what it is all cracked up to be.
