Arizona State. It is the biggest party school in the US from a recent USA today survey. Int he survery, it said 7 in 10 drank. People on the west coast are party animals.

CU Boulder has been at the top of the list for several years running.

i didn't know colleges drink! sorry...

I went to CSU, Chico (aka Chico State) and I can tell you those students know how to get their drunk on. The school is doing everything it can to squash the party school image, but a typical Friday or Saturday night sees huge lines outside most of the city's college oriented bars. And the school moved spring break so that St. Patrick's day is during the break just because it was a HUGE drinking day. Now Chico State may not be as big as some of the other party schools like ASU, but I bet the students consume more alcohol on a per capita basis.

Plus it's in the same town as the Sierra Nevada brewery.

@Justin, Sierra Nevada is delish!

The truth is, most public, four year universities will have a lot of drinkers, and some may be surrounded by that culture more than others. No matter where you go to school, whether it's a small liberal arts school or a large, public university, you will have the opportunity to go to parties and drink.

However, at most schools, you will most likely have other options than drinking on weekends. When choosing a college, make sure that there are also places such as movie theaters, concert venues, museums and performance halls so you can get your kicks in more way than one!

up here in the Midwest Wisconsin has the reputation as the drunkest school in the BIG TEN

I attended Ohio State in the 1980s. We drank, but those folks in Madison knew how to party. Uncle Billy knows what he is sayin'
