Can somebody explain this wine question??!

Question:

Can somebody explain this wine question??

Can you please tell me the different tastes between wines? What does a dry wine mean?? What makes a wine good?

Answers:

Make yourself a cup of hot tea and take a sip without adding sugar. That's how I would describe dry. Sweet is generally the opposite of dry, and the taste is exactly what you would think. Every wine has a different flavor so it's difficult to generalize. I would recommend buying a few inexpensive bottles and taste-testing them. Figure out what you like and what you don't, but know that it will change over time. One hint: dry wines work best with food while sweet wines are better as cocktails. The sugar is sweet wines dulls the palate and actually works against a meal.
