What does 1 splash ice mean?!

Question:

What does 1 splash ice mean?

Hi,

I was going through some cocktail recipes in the internet. Some of the recipes mentions some thing like '1 splash ice' , '1 splash cranberry juice' etc. What does this quantity indicate?

Eg : See http://www.1001cocktails.com/recipes/mix...

Answers:
a splash of juice means start to pour count about 3 seconds and stop pouring at a medium pace

a splash of ice is about 3 ice cubes.

The best is to estimate best to your taste and try it a few different ways.

Drop a couple of ice cubes in, but make ABSOLUTELY sure they SPLASH in, or the cocktail is ruined!

I've never heard of a splash of ice, but a splash of soda (cranberry juice, etc.) is literally what it sounds like, a splash. If you turn a bottle with a pour spout over, then you literally just give the drink a splash of liquid. Or with a soda gun, then you just hit the button for a split-second. It's about a teaspoon.
