We go to both places at least once a year. Napa wines have the BIG sweat fruit. It is complex and very distinctive. I love the big Napa Cabs the best. The peoblem is so does a lot of people, and the wines have gotten to be very expensive. It seams like everybody makes a $100.00+. The price goes up every year. Some of them are the top ratted wines in the world.
Sonoma wineries are smoother, some of the wines are big, and some are more balance. The wineries are generally smaller with names you never heard of; however there are some big ones. I love dry creek and the Alexander valley in Sonoma.
