Shelf life of champagne?
I have two bottles of champagne which I have had for a number of years. Do they go off, or do they keep indefinitely?
Answers:
wines can definately go bad.
they decay into vinegar.
keep them tilted down so the liquid comes in contact with the cork (to keep it from drying out)
keep them in a cool (50-60ish F) temp
and keep them far far far away from sunlight and other bright prolonged lighting.
if the storing conditions for the two bottles you currently have has been iffy...the only way you can tell is to open them up and try them.
