I have 3 bottles of TJ Swanns Wine from the 1980's that are unopened. Are they still okay to drink?!

Question:

I have 3 bottles of TJ Swanns Wine from the 1980's that are unopened. Are they still okay to drink?

My friend has about 5 cases of this wine that her father in law has had since the 1980's. It is TJ Swanns which I've read is a "soda pop" wine like Boone's Farm, and I don't know if it is any good to drink anymore or not. Does anyone know if it is okay to drink it still? Two say they are apple wine and one says it is grape wine....

Answers:

lol! TJ Swan wasn't okay to drink when it was fresh...terribly fruity stuff, if you ask me. But, that being said, this stuff isn't meant to keep for years like a fine wine, so all I can tell ya is to open one and find out. Or go on ebay and see if there's any collectors out there that would like to add it to their collection!
