What are the proper way to drink scotch whisky?!

What are the proper way to drink scotch whisky?

i heard you add water to it - what kind of water? spring or mineral?


Answers:

My mate who is 82 has always taken malt with a
dash of water it does release the flavours and I have
been on numerous distillery tours where I live and all
the distillers I have spoken to are in agreement about a touch of ordinary water. Neat malt is only recommended
if someone is in shock .
