I am an alcoholic, but I dislike going to the meetings because of the hypocrisy. Why smoke?

Admitting to a drug problem then smoking something that has a message about the harm tobacco can cause. Why stop one habit and not another??


Answers:

I think most people feel that smoking is the lesser of two evils. Also they may feel that since they have quit drinking they have earned the right to continue smoking.
