Question:

Where do you sell a 49 yr old bottle of Blended Canadian Club Whiskey?

My Parents bought this bottle at my Christening it was already 6 yrs old, Im 43 now dont drink, my parents are gone and I would like to sell to a collector or restaurant any suggestions on how to make a decent sale?

Answers:
I work in a liquor store and i have done this before, People have come in with old bottles of liquor, We agree on a selling price, I would put it on the counter and see what happens, And yes we always start with a really high price.

Might go to a collectors store, liquor store, or cigar shop and see if they know someone who collects things like that and might be interested in such a thing.

The Whiskey in the bottle is only 6 years old, Whiskey do not age in the bottle. If it was still in the barrell it would be 49 years old.

You are actually trying to sell the bottle, Unless the bottle of the Canadian Club has not changed then the contents is the same if you bought a 6 year old bottle of Canadian Club today.

What makes a Bottle of whiskey valuable in how many bottles did they make at that time.

Example:

Say if they made only 2 bottles of that Canadian Club Whiskey.

1. I had one and you had one. What is our bottle worth?

2. I dranked mine now you have the only one. How much is your bottle worth now?

Look on line:

Why is some whiskey produced today cost $500. - $25,000. a bottle?

Before you try to sell it, check the evaporation rate, did some evaporate. If it has let it be known.

Take a look at the botle does it look the same as a bottle made today. These things are important.

Are they still producing 6 year old Canadian Club Whiskey?

I'm looking for a bottle of Jonnie Walker White. They stop making it 40 or so years ago. Wonder how much that will cost me. With this, the mix, the bottle, and the white lable is no longer being produce.

Canadian Club Whiskey aged 6 years sounds common. We are not talking about Chivas that was aged 50 years for the Queen which cost thousands of dollars.

Try Ebay I'm sure there may be some collector out there that want it.

Hope this helps
