We want to do outside bars. need to find out about licences?!

Question:

We want to do outside bars. need to find out about licences?

what roughly people charge for bar services.

Answers:
Well that is going to depend on what state you are in. You probably can get a general overview on your state's Liquor Control Board website. But there are probably also local issues such as zoning to take into account.

Your best bet if you are really serious is get a lawyer.

Contact your local chamber of commerce they are a wealth of information on business practices and license requirements - they may even have a mentor program where an experienced business owner helps you get your business off the ground. Good Luck!

Questions:

Where are you located?
Have you contacted your local business license bureau?
Have you requested and filed for a liquor license?
Have you contacted your local health department for a permit if you are serving any food?
Do you have local zoning in place for your type of business?
Do you have financing in place for at least 5 years?

...

I think that's enough to start the juices rolling :)

Usually they charge much too much and only employ surly staff. I tried to get an outside bar for the village gala last year and the "Expert " wanted £450-00 as a payment for setting it up, then he intended charging roughly 50% over normal bar prices. We had a tea tent instead.
