What ways could I slow down or prevent sickness during drinking?!

Question:

What ways could I slow down or prevent sickness during drinking?

If a drink causes me to start feeling nauseated, I would stop it right away. But what can I do to make the ill feeling die down quicker or the quickest way? Is there a way?

Answers:

If you start to feel sick while you're drinking, you're already to late.
Alcohol takes up to 2 hours to get into your bloodstream so what you have been drinking prior to feeling ill is yet to kick in (hence the room spinning when you get home after you think you have stopped when you have had enough.)

Eat plenty before you go out, drink water occasionally during the evening and the odd bar snack. Try and figure out the number of units it usually takes for you to start swaying and pace your drinking to keep that as a maximum. Drink about a pint of water and take a couple of paracetamol when you get home. That usually prevents to much of a hangover. but if you overdo it, short of a blood transfusion, nothing will prevent it making you I'll.
