What is the best rum to drink straight?!

Question:

What is the best rum to drink straight?

I don't want to mix it I just want a rum that I can swig outta the bottle that won't leave me crying or gagging. Something sweet to finish the day right.

Answers:
I really like Rhum Barbancourt 15 year from Haiti, I also like Havana Club rum from Cuba or Mount Gay Extra Old from Barbados.

Really, try lots of different kinds it's really a personal taste.

I would suggest you pour some in a glass and really enjoy it. Either straight up or on the rocks.

malibu baby

coconut rum, like malibu or capt. morgans spiced rum, they are my faves!

malibu or captain morgan's

Purser's Rum

Bacardi 8. It is an aged, dark rum. Very smooth and very tasty.

Just Bacardi and a twist of lemon or lime

I agree with goddessofwomanhood, nothing better on a hot day than Malibu coconut rum on ice! Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum is also delicious!

Meyer's...

I'm cool with a Bacardi white, but if you like a sweet and smooth dark rum, try Gosling's Black Seal ("Bermuda Black Rum") - it's a little thick and sweet, but has a nice flavor. If you can find them, try some of the smaller brands that come direct from various Caribbean islands. For instance, I've had Barceló's Columbus A?ejo from the Dominican Republic and it was a nice mild mid-gold sipping rum. (I think Barceló's is now known as DuBar & Co.)

Any Coconut Rum....

Bacardi Coco Rum
Malibu Rum (Mmmmm.......)

**These are not rums but they taste good too alone & they are sweet-ish**

Grand Marnier
&
Amaretto (Mmmmm....)

I like the new Captain Morgan Taboo. Dark, sweet, almost like they simply added a little molasses to the regular spiced.

Black Heart rum is a nice one.

CAPTAIN MORGAN

captain morgan private stock. it has a vanilla kick to it and is AMAZING
