Anyone checked out the "Wetherspoons Wine festival"?!

Question:

Anyone checked out the "Wetherspoons Wine festival"?

They are offering good wines for £6.99 a bottle.
We have just taken home a couple of bottles of Louis Jadot Pulingy- Montrachet which allegedly sells for £100 a bottle.
Well if you believe that...
Never mind, they still have great tasting wines at reasonable prices. Give it a go guys; there are a lot of wines out there for the trying!

JDW is so cool
Wine choice is good
Real Ale choice also.

I'm so happy I could sh*t

It may sell for £100+ in pubs etc but they have extreme mark-up's. Louis Jadot Puligny montrachet 1999 £33.60 per bottle at four walls wine company. "It's good, potentially very good". have a look at wine-searcher .com.

Many JDW establishments attract the sivved solids of colonic irrigation to the bar. In my local the only the cheapest wine is purchased, and dowened by the scum, using a straw to allow for 'faster flow'.

I do not blame the JDW brand, they have seen and cornered a market, which offers great returns, most of the money going through the tills is from government coffers in the first place, so they are happy making more and more on our already heavily taxed society.

The people I am most sorry for are not the lushes, drowning yesterdays hangover, or the fat cats raking in the money. Its the decent people who have to walk past such establishments, as it raises a truly important question.

'Whats it all about?'
