What are some good alcohol drinks.?

I just turned 21(sept 10), and i want to know what are some good fruity drinks, nothing that burns your throat when your drinking it. And how do you make them. My family are big drinkers, but all the heavy stuff, how do you make something that will not have you passed out by the secound round.

Mai Thai Punch (serves 12)

1 cup light rum 250 mL
1 cup dark rum 250 mL
1/2 cup Cointreau 125 mL
1/3 cup lime juice 75 mL
6 cups pineapple juice 1,5 L
ice cubes
fresh pineapple spears
mint sprigs

Directions
Combine all ingredients except ice cubes, pineapple and mint; chill well.

Just before serving, fill 12 large glasses with ice. Add punch.

Garnish each serving with a pineapple spear and a mint sprig. Serve immediately.

Tom Collins (serves 1)

1 oz fresh lemon juice 30 mL
3 oz gin 90 mL
1-1/2 tsp superfine sugar 7 mL
2 ice cubes 2
6 oz cold club soda 175 mL
1 maraschino cherry 1

Directions
Place the lemon juice, gin and sugar in a tall glass and stir with a spoon until the sugar is dissolved. Add the ice cubes, fill the glass with club soda, and stir. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Sangria

3/4 cup water 175 mL
1/3 cup sugar 75 mL
1 lemon, thinly sliced 1
1 orange, thinly sliced 1
26 oz dry red wine 750 mL
1/2 cup Grand Marnier 125 mL
ice cubes

Directions
In a small saucepan, mix water and sugar. Stir constantly over medium heat until sugar dissolves.

Add lemon and orange slices. Cool to room temperature.

In a large pitcher, combine wine, Grand Marnier, and the sugar-fruit mixture. Mix well.

Serve in tall glasses over ice cubes.

White Wine Punch (serves 20)

3 bottles dry white wine - 750 mL 3
1/4 cup brandy 60 mL
2 tbsp sugar 30 mL
ice ring prepared with water and cranberries
4 cups carbonated water 1 L

Directions
Pour the wine, brandy and sugar over the ice ring in a chilled punch bowl. Just before ladling into punch glasses, add the carbonated water.
