What is the best micro-brewery beer and why?!

Question:

What is the best micro-brewery beer and why?

I love northern California breweries like Sierra Nevada, Downtown Brown and others much like these. I am curious to know who, in any of your opinions, makes the best hometown style, micro brew???

Answers:
The best micro-brewery beer that I have NOT had is...

Three Floyds Oak-Aged Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout

It's widely acclaimed as the best U.S.-produced beer ever. Motor oil black and thick, bottom-of-the-barrel sludge. Extremely complex aromas: Bourbon, anise, chicory, oak, alcohol. Extremely complex flavors: chocolate, malts, chicory, coffee, wood, vanilla. Fullest of bodies, fullest of flavors. I dream about trying this beer.

The best micro-brew I HAVE had is...

Founder's Kentucky Breakfast Bourbon-Aged Stout
Like the first, a thick black beer with a frothy dark brown head. Scents and flavors of coffee, chocolate, malts, bourbon. Smooth and strong. Balanced and addictive. Absolutely amazing.

The best micro-brew for your neck of the woods (assuming you're from Cali):

From the Russian River Brewing Company (Santa Rosa)
-Pliny the Younger IPA
-Pliny the Elder IPA
-Beatification
-Supplication
-Temptation

Or Stone Brewing (Escondido)
-Imperial Russian Stout
-Ruination IPA
-Arrogant Bastard Ale
-Double Bastard Ale

Or AleSmith (San Diego)
- (Barrel-Aged) Speedway Stout
-IPA
-(Barrel-Aged) Wee Heavy
-Stumblin Monk
-Yulesmith IPA
-Yulesmith Imperial Red Ale

These west-coast brews are among the best beers in the entire world.

Other micro-brews that will knock your socks off:
-Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout (Colorado)
-Surly Darkness (Minnesota)
-Bells Expedition Stout (Michigan)
-Dogfish Head World Wide Stout (Delaware)
-Hair of the Dog Dave (Oregon)
-Hair of the Dog Adam (Oregon)
-Great Lakes Barrel-Aged Blackout Stout (Ohio)
-Three Floyds Dreadnaught Imperial IPA (Indiana)
-Victory Storm King Imperial Stout (Pennsylvania)

I suppose I know beer.

Deshutes Brewery in Bend Oregon! Awesome brews!

Other's may not agree with me, but I LOVE Euphoria by Legcay Brewing Company here in Pennsylvania. It's a Belgian Strong Ale and clocks in at 11% ABV.

Drink Responsibly folks!

I am from OZ and love Coopers Pale Ale. I have a few girlfriends from seattle who drank it out here and took some bottled stuff back duty free. Its yummy..prrr

Captain Lawrence Brewery makes an incredible smoked porter. It's lightly smoked and accents the chocolate overtones in the beer.
