Well Drinks?!

Question:

Well Drinks?

Tonight this club is having $1 well drinks all night? What are they, how do you order them? Do I say "Let me have a well drink"?

Answers:
a well drink is the cheap whiskey or vodka or whatever booze you choose. Ask for a whiskey coke, bourbon 7, vodka sour etc. You can't ask for a specif brand of booze, such as Crown royal, absolute, etc

They are bottom shelf liquors.

SAY, " BUY ME A DRANKKKK, YEAHHHH"

Well drinks are the cheap, common drinks, like say, bowman's vodka as opposed to stolichnaya or skyy, or early times bourbon as opposed to jack daniels. I'd go with the long island iced tea if you want the most bang for your buck. low quality liquor gives me hangovers, if you are worried about cashflow, it's always cheaper to drink at your house, no cab fare, dui fines... or bouncers.

If well drinks are the special, just order what the special is. A well drink is made with basic, generic or "cheap" liquor & the mixers. So, if your Well drink special is a Margarita, it will not be made with Jose Quervo, Patron, or other known brand tequila, but rather the cheaper brand that the bar stocks regularly. Will probably taste the same, but you may get a headache in the AM if you drink too many!

Well drinks are made from the "stock" liquors that bars use most often. They usually are brandy, vodka, and whiskey.
They typically are watered down in the bottles before customers arrive or in larger containers in another area that are poured from the little hand held dispensers that are usually for sodas with buttons on them. Some are premeasured by the touch of a button.

So when you see a bartender pouring you a long drink, you are usually getting a watered down version if it is a well drink.

You are usually better off getting a premium liquor by request in your drinks, or bottled beer from the bottle.

You would ask for a well drink saying you saw it in an ad.

Order a highball, almost any highball will be covered by it, there will probably be a sign telling you which ones are available. The liquor comes from the gun which is measured exactly for them, they add ice and pop or juice and you are all set. The liquor is the cheapest stuff around & is probably almost as bad as drinking listerine for you but it's your body and pocket book so i would suggest pre drinking a little before you go so you don't taste how awful it actually is. Cheers : )

Well or rail are the generic offering of the alcohols for common mixed drinks like a gin and tonic, vodka and cranberry etc. So you simply state the name of your concoction of choice and then the mix it using the lowest grade, cheapest brand they have. The alternative would be to order a drink with a specific brand of alcohol - like a when ordering a gin and tonic you would state - "Can I have a Tanqueray and Tonic.

well is the cheapest alcohol that bars carry, no name brands, usually similar to rubbing alcohol. you order them as the type of alcohol, such as rum, vodka, tequila, scotch. gin, burbon, and your mixer. a good one is rum and coke, add a twist of lime (this is called a cuba libre) or if you usually have a certian drink, then try it with the well. it is worth the money saved if you aren't a picky drinker.
