Is it me or does it seem that the head on a pint of beer/lager is getting larger.?
No matter which pub I visit, in general it seems this is the case. Half an inch of beer is replaced by froth.
Bring back the days when glasses were taller and had a line showing the barman where the exact pint
had to be made up to.

It is definately not you. I have to ask for about 3 out of 4 pints to be topped up, all in different pubs. I don't touch a pint until it's settled, then ask for it to be topped up. On one occasion the barmaid told me "that's the level the company said to fill it". She topped it up. In London I've never had a problem, they automatically top it up if asked. Outside of London it's a different matter.
