Gene for hating alcohol?
I can't stand anything with alcohol in it, it just makes me sick. Nobody in my father's family drinks at all and I assume they have the same genes that make alcohol bitter. Is this true or is it something else? I have gotten drunk but it's very difficult for me as I just can't stand the taste of alcohol.

A lot of people have that, and they just don't drink. Why force it? And a lot of Asians can't drink at all - their bodies can't process the alcohol. The only things you're missing are empty calories and the chance to look stupid.
