Alcohol poisoning?!

Question:

Alcohol poisoning?

A week ago my husband drank a bottle of crown royal whiskey with mix. He doesn't make his drinks overly strong, he makes them somewhat normal. Within 48 hours he was running to the washroom and this went on for a week. He missed four days of work as well. He had hot flashes and was tired and lived in the washroom. Ok my question is, is there such a thing as a bad bottle of whiskey? he is a whiskey drinker when he does drink on the odd weekends, so it isn't new to him to drink this.

Can whiskey cause this if it was a bad bottle? We figured it wasn't food poisoning because we all ate the same thing over that weekend and no one else got this sick for a week straight..

To clarify this a bit more. He actually didn't finish the full bottle. He was drinking socially and enjoying himself. He is a usual rye and coke drinker and this has never happened. Also, he eats and drinks fluids such as water or juice etc, regularly on a daily basis. He literally lived in the bathroom all day, was awful. He went to the doctors and he said it seemed viral, but what i don't understand is why was he like this for seven days and me and my kids were very healthy. He also is usually healthy too, he is back to himself now, thank goodness!

a doctor would be able to tell u for sure. alcohol poisioning would result in total body dehydration. if ur husband was feeling sick Pedialight or dymatap (its in the baby aisle) will help restore ur bodies natural vitamins.

Sounds more like food poisoning to me.

Alcohol poisoning is when the alcohol pollutes the blood. Whiskey never goes bad-it just gets better with age.

Your husband was probably just dehydrated, he's got to drink plenty of water before and after he consumes an entire bottle by himself. Also if he was throwing up a lot and not drinking water..that just makes it 100 times worse.
