You find a bottle of scotch dated 1948.?

On the label it says it is a 12 year old scotch. You found the bottle in 2007. How old is the scotch?

It's 12 years old in Scotch terms. The age is the age in the barrel. It doesn't change very much in the bottle, but it does tend to get softer and more integrated. I'll bet it tastes good. How much are you selling it for?

If it was bottled in 1948, it would have been made in 1936, so that would make it 71 years old.

It won't make any difference in taste though. Unlike wine, whiskey doesn't change after it is bottled. It is the aging in the cask/barrel that makes the difference.

Not sure but it would be very good - like the one in the picture below on the link...

it was aged 12 years then put in its bottle ,so it stoped its
taste aging then .now it melowing in its bottle .
hopefully its still sealed other wise taste it and if you like it drink up
